2. SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share your Personal Information with subsidiaries and affiliates. Our subsidiaries and affiliates will use your Personal Information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Notice.

3. SECURITY

TLG maintains appropriate administrative, technical and physical information security measures to protect, as far as reasonably possible, the Personal Information in our care from threats such as theft, unauthorised access and misuse. This includes

4. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

TLG is headquartered in the United States and the Site and services are hosted and administered in the United States, or hosted with cloud service providers who are headquartered in the United States. Users located outside the United States should be aware that the Personal Information that you provide to us, or that we obtain through your use of our Site and services will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States and will be subject to U.S. privacy and data protection laws, which may not be equivalent to the laws of your country of residence. However, TLG has taken steps to ensure an adequate level of protection:

Certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), the UK extension to the EU-US DPF and the Swiss-US DPF

TLG complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce (the ”DPF Principles”).

In doing so, TLG has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of Personal Information received from the European Union in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF, and from the United Kingdom (and Gibraltar) in reliance on the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF.

TLG has also certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF.

If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the DPF Principles shall govern. The Company’s compliance to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

The Company accepts responsibility for the Processing of Personal Information received under the DPF Principles, and accordingly, retains responsibility for Personal Information transferred to third-parties acting as agents on our behalf and shall remain liable if an agent processes such Personal Information in a manner inconsistent with the DPF Principles (unless we prove that we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage).

The Company subscribes to an independent dispute resolution mechanism to address unresolved complaints and provide appropriate recourse to Data Subjects, free of charge. As such, we agree to cooperate with, and comply with the advice of, the relevant EU Data Protection Authority, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) (and the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority (GRA)), or the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

5. FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT SPECIFIC SERVICES

Registration
We offer some services that require registration. For the registration process, we collect only the information necessary, which may include name, address, telephone number, email address, and professional information and similar, depending upon the service you wish to access.

Registration provides you with choices regarding the types of membership updates, newsletters, event invitations, marketing and promotional materials, and other information that we send to you as a registered user. By registering with us, you agree that we may send you emails and other communications regarding information specific to our service(s) or other opportunities that we may provide at any given time according to your wishes. Continuing Education and Conference Attendance
By participating in Continuing Education (CE) activity through our Sites, requesting a credit for completing a CE activity or registering to attend conferences, you may be asked to provide Personal Information that may include name, address, telephone number, degree or certification, occupation or title, email address, company or organization, average number of patients per week, license details and other similarly necessary information.

The Information collected may be used to provide necessary reporting to the appropriate monitoring bodies and involved providers (see the section on ‘Sharing of Your Information’), to study the conferences and CE activities to improve effectiveness and understand educational needs, and to address your suggestions, comments and questions.

Marketing and Advertising
We may use Personal Information provided by you, or obtained from third-party sources, to target advertising and our marketing communications to your needs, interests, demographic information, and geographic location. We may also provide advertisements to you within our Sites based on information that our advertisers have collected from third-party sources and with the use of Cookies.

Event Notifications and Invitations
We may send you notifications and invitations to conferences, awards ceremonies, webinars and other online events hosted by us, or where we are in attendance as guests, sponsors, exhibitors and/or speakers.
